Blue Seed Episode 13

    Episode 13 begins in the early morning hours of the day during a thunderstorm in Tokyo. City workers have gone down a manhole and they are talking about the damage that has been done by the strange monsters that keep appearing. While they are talking, Murakumo shows up and tells them that humans aren't allowed. They begin to scream and the scene dissolves in a flash of blinding light.
    Back at Mr. Kunikida's house, Momiji is having a dream. Someone is calling her, but she can't tell who it is. She wakes up, focused on the dream and there is a flash of lightning. She dives under the covers, her rear end sticking up in the air and hears a laugh: Kusanagi. "You hide your head, but not your butt? No wonder the storm won't go away!"
    Momiji jerks her head from beneath the blankets and starts screaming at him for coming into her room without asking. But Kusanagi's not really listening. He sees a camera and decides to take a picture.
    The story switches gears and we see the news, where Sugishita is being interviewed regarding all the strange attacks that have been occurring. Momiji is looking at her newly developed pictures while she listens with half an ear to what he's saying and we see the picture of her and Kusanagi together.
    Back at the TAC office, the rest of the members are listening to Sugishita's report as well, with Kome grumbling about his shameless plugs in self promotion: "Director this director that..." Momiji comes in to the lab for Matsu to do some tests on and she drops her wallet containing the new picture of her and Kusanagi. Kome sees it and takes it from her, saying, "I KNEW it! You guys did it, didn't you?"
    The story switches scenes once more. This time all of the girls of the TAC (plus poor Yaegashi) are sitting around a table drinking coffee, talking about Kusanagi and how to let him know that Momiji likes him. During the course of conversation, each girls expresses what she likes in a man and Yaegashi can't help making several digs about Kome's preferences, which win a good beating from Kome ^_^. In the end, it's Yaegashi who comes up with the solution to Momiji's problem.
    He whips out a pair of panties that say, "I love you." and gives them to Momiji. While the women of the TAC are "fixing" Momiji up with her new apparel, Sugishita calls and talks to Kunikida about recent possible Aragami activity. Kunikida decides to investigate and he goes after everyone, bursting into the room while Kome is writing the words Mr. Kusanagi below the "I love you" on Momiji's underpants.
    Everyone quickly leaves, but Kunikida stops Momiji and wishes her luck, if she decides to tell him. On the way to the site, Momiji has a nice daydream about Kusanagi discovering her underwear in which he tells her that he loves her. But even in her dream, before they can kiss, Ryoko slams on her brakes and Momiji jams her head against the back of the driver's seat, interrupting her dream.
    They arrive at the scene of disturbances and Matsu asks Momiji if she senses anything. Momiji stops and concentrates, but doesn't feel anything but Kusanagi (which is HIGHLY ironic, considering that just below them, the subway is TEEMING with Aragami activity) Kusanagi is sitting on top a car, watching Momiji and when everyone turns and spies him, Kome goes forward to greet him, pulling Momiji with her.
    Kome starts asking Kusanagi all kinds of personal questions: is he currently seeing anyone? What he thinks of Momiji..... Her questions are interrupted however, when Momiji's mitama starts to glow and she goes into a trance-like state. She is being called and she starts talking to the one summoning her. She starts to rise up off the ground and Kusanagi tries to stop her, but when he reaches for her, he gets shocked. There is a protective shield surrounding her, so all he can do is try and follow her.
    Momiji travels through the subway until she reaches a stone wall. She puts her hand out and a door appears. Traveling down this passageway she comes across Murakumo who also tries to stop her but receives a shock when he touches her. When Momiji finally awakens, she is in a chamber and Susano-oh has just been reborn. Kusanagi comes after her and confronts Murakumo who is unwilling to fight him because he doesn't want anything to happen to Lord Susano-oh.
    Then, Murakumo summons Kaede who steps out and takes the baby. Kusanagi is left momentarily speechless by the sight of her, but quickly regains his speech as he attempts to go after her. The cave they are in is collapsing and Momiji stops Kusanagi as the wall closes up behind Murakumo and Kaede leaving Kusanagi and Momiji in the crumbling chamber all alone.
    The story switches once again to the members of the TAC standing on a bridge overlooking the river talking about Murakumo's plans to rid the world of all the vile humans. Momiji is standing next to Kusanagi who is sitting lost in thought against a building, mumbling Kaede's name. Momiji tries to comfort him by telling him that he'll probably see her sister again someday and then a breeze blows the back of her skirt up. Thinking that perhaps, Kusanagi has seen her panties, Momiji starts mumbling about them and then blurts out that she is in love with him. The episode ends with Momiji standing there watching Kusanagi staring at nothing in particular and she is left wondering whether he heard her or not.
